Soft Terry Top Over A Sealed Waterproof Layer

This mattress cover protector puts 200 GSM terry cloth over a TPU membrane. The cloth soaks up moisture on top and the film beneath stops anything reaching the mattress, with none of the crinkle of a plastic cover.

This queen size mattress protector is perfect for my daughter's dorm room bed. We wanted it less to protect the mattress from her, but more to protect her from the mattress. This is the exact same quality of a mattress protector that I got for my beds at home from the furniture store that I bought them from, but at one quarter of the cost, so I'm annoyed at the money I wasted, but I'm glad to have found this so that I don't have to do that again. This has deep pockets that go fully under the mattress, so you really can forget about it. I know in our case, it does not come off with each washing of the sheets, it's more of an 'as needed' type of thing, but make sure that you either line dry it or use a very low heat dryer because the waterproofing will peel apart with too high of heat. Overall this is really affordable and great quality so I'm really happy with it.

Every once in awhile of course we find the need to change out our waterproof protectors. Has like all things they actually do wear out and the membrane well-developed some cracking and have the ability for fluids to seep in. We got this one and it worked exactly as the last one did. It fits over our Queen with a pillow top just fine. You don't feel the protector through your sheets at all so if you have a nice Egyptian cotton sheets at the you actually want to feel you're not going to be bothered by the texture of the protector. It also doesn't make any sounds which is nice but I haven't had to protector make sounds in years. The only reason for four star is just that if you search you can get ones just like it for a couple bucks cheaper - nothing serious but just something to look out for if you're on the hunt to save every dollar you can.
