Beddora Launches Its OEKO-TEX® Certified Mattress Protector Collection

Every protector in this new range has been independently tested and certified free from harmful substances, with a construction built to stay comfortable, breathable, and in place through regular use.

What OEKO-TEX Certification Actually Means

OEKO-TEX Standard 100 is an independent certification that tests textiles for harmful substances, including pesticide residues, heavy metals, formaldehyde, and certain dyes. A product that carries this certification has been tested by an accredited laboratory and confirmed to meet internationally recognised safety thresholds.

For a mattress protector, this certification carries real weight. You are in contact with this fabric for six to eight hours a night. Knowing it has been independently verified rather than simply described as safe is a meaningful difference. Every protector in Beddora's new collection carries OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification on the fabrics used.

Protection That Does Not Compromise Comfort

A mattress protector has one job on the surface: keep the mattress safe from spills, dust, allergens, and moisture. The failure most people have experienced is a protector that does that job but makes the bed feel plastic, crinkly, or hot to sleep on.

The Beddora protector collection uses a top knit layer that is soft against the skin, combined with a waterproof and breathable membrane underneath. The breathable membrane allows heat and moisture to escape upward through the surface rather than trapping it between you and the mattress. The result is protection that works without changing how the bed feels.

Built to Stay in Place

A protector that bunches or slips during the night is not doing its job. The Beddora collection is designed to fit securely across standard Canadian mattress profiles and to hold position through the night regardless of how you sleep. For people who share a bed with children or pets, this matters more than usual, since movement and activity through the night increases the chance of the protector shifting.

The fabrics are built to stay soft and maintain their fit through repeated washes, which means the protector does not need replacing after a few months of regular laundering.

Tested Before It Reaches You

Each protector in the collection goes through a multi-step durability assessment before it is made available. This includes liquid resistance testing, stretch and recovery evaluation, edge binding checks, and airflow performance review. The goal is a protector that still performs after months of regular use, not just on the first night.

"Better sleep starts with better choices," said Salman Rehan, CEO of Beddora. "Certified, safe, and responsibly made. That is how we approach every product. This collection gives people something they can count on without needing to think about it."
